Dealing With Malware


If you are confident the malware is no longer detected try a final reboot before using the computer again.  If you see no indications of the original issue then you may have saved the computer !

Large Blog ImageA Final Note If at the end of this process you have not found or cleaned the problem, and you have performed the Scan-Reboot-Scan process multiple times with several different types of antivirus software, you should not use the computer and should seriously consider re-installing the operating system.  Using this computer in a potentially infected state is like driving a car at 65mph with a flat tire.  You could be lucky for a very short period of time or something devastating could happen at any moment.  Computers today are the things we access our personal, financial and business data on.  Using a computer with malware on it puts all of that at risk.
